Aurore Renaissance Music Festival

I am a co-artistic director of Aurore - Renessanssimusiikkijuhlat / Aurore Renaissance Music Festival. The festival presents a series of concerts featuring a variety of Renaissance music annually in January/February, held at St Paul's Church in Helsinki.

For the 2023 festival I arranged, rehearsed, and performed in a performance of William Byrd's consort anthems for voices and viols, also featuring the consort songs 'Ah silly soul', 'O Lord, how vain', and the elegy 'Crowned with flow'rs and lilies'. The viol ensemble was led by internationally-renowned player Markku Luolajan-Mikkola.

To mark the festival's tenth anniversary in 2024, I arranged and directed a performance of Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers.
